Pro-ACA, didn't defend Kentucky's ban on SSM, wants to rethink war on drugs.

Moderate on fiscal issues, but certainly to the left of Republicans.

So he's in the Wyden/Feingold camp of libertarian Democrats

He probably is more conservative than Beshear on everything except marriage equality.

My understanding is that he is running in rural areas based partly on how he enforced the drug laws.  Yes, he's pro hemp legalization but I believe that's about it.

I agree he is basically a DINO, although I understand that that is pretty much what you have to be to get elected as a Democrat in a Southern/Border state.

first memes, then hashtags. Next trend in political discourse is going to be writing it on little turds and sending them in the mail to one another.

This is the way that the conversation has been shifting towards on here for a little while. Thanks, IndyRep.

Yeah, didn't he run to Rand's right on drugs?

He's really against the drug war? I remember him running to Paul's right on "tough on crime" type issues in 2010.

Apparently he's against mass incarceration by wanting to "reform" drug laws, whatever that means.

Jack Conway isn't "for" anything. The man was against the Bush Tax Cuts before he was for them.

I can't find the thread on the Kentucky Governor's race, so I'll post this here.  If a mod wants to move it to the thread on the KY Governor's race (if there is one), I'd encourage that.

Politics1.com @Politics1com
KY GOV (SurveyUSA):
Jack Conway 40%, James Comer (R) 38%
Jack Conway 41%, Hal Heiner (R) 38%
Jack Conway 42%, Matt Bevin (R) 36%.

KY GOV DEM (SurveyUSA):
Jack Conway 61%, Geoff Young 12%

KT GOV GOP (SurveyUSA):
Hal Heiner 28%
James Comer 20%
Matt Bevin 20%
Will Scott 8%

A little surprised James Comer is doing so poorly, according to this one poll, in the Republican primary.
