I am astonished that he put forward this list himself of examples of things to avoid. Was this a staffer trying to F with Channel 11 or an actual interview done?

Why would you ban things that would be awesome to be?

This is why progressives suck at politics in this country.  Instead of making fun of this guy, progressives should be using this as an opening wedge to get all GMOs banned, not just GMHs as this guy wants.

Why would we want to have all GMOs banned? Some are useful; heck Norman Borlaug managed to save a lot of people from starvation with them.

Aren't all such hybrids called chimeras? (Note to pedants: it's a Greek word, not a Latin one: the plural is most definitely not chimerae)

Actually it's neither Greek or Latin, but purely English (tho coming to us from Greek via Latin and Old French).  The Latin is chimaera (plural chimaerae) and the Greek transliterates as chimaira (plural chimairai).

I don't advocate the banning either, but Borlaug used intraspecies breeding, not interspecies genetic modification to do his work.

Yes, banning GMO's would be a terrible decision.
