Would Connecticut Gov. Dan Malloy be a good vice presidential running mate for the Democratic nominee in 2016? Yes, he doesn't help electorally, but he brings an no-nonsense attack dog that Dems need, he is an executive, and could help with progressive voters if the party nominates a centrist for the presidency.

Yes, he'd be great. When Democrats were losing left and right in 2010 and 2014, he weathered the storm and wrecked his opponent both times. Dan Malloy cannot be defeated by Republicans.

Based on that interview alone I'd say Hell Yeah.

As a Republican, I completely endorse him for the Democratic nomination.

He's not from a particulalry useful region. Nor is there strong demographic appeal in a white guy in his early 60s.

He barely got reelected in one of Obama's ten best states.

His dyslexia poses unique challenges for campaigns, as he has difficulty reading prepared texts.

The base likes him, but he doesn't excite anyone. Nor does he have any demonstrated appeal to the middle.

He wouldn't bring any new voters with him but he would be a good solid pick for VP. That interview was good and I like how he's not afraid to call people out for what they have done.

I'd be fine with it to get him out of my hair and to have a Governor Wyman

Not sure what he'd bring that compliments Hillary. She could use someone younger like Castro. And if she wants someone more experienced then Kaine makes more sense coming from a swing state along with a Democratic Governor to appoint his replacement.

Running with him would be unfair to Republicans.

Yes, he'd be great. When Democrats were losing left and right in 2010 and 2014, he weathered the storm and wrecked his opponent both times. Dan Malloy cannot be defeated by Republicans.

You have a funny definition of wrecking. Wrecking implies that he totally crushed his opponent, when in 2010 his victory margin was a pitiful ~7,000 votes, and in 2014 the opponent was within 3%. That's not impressive or wrecking at all, that's downright PATHETIC for a democrat from CONNECTICUT, even in a republican wave year. Malloy is not 100% safe from future republican defeat either, if Malloy made some embarrassing gaffe, or gotten into in some scandal, he would have lost already. Heck, he probably would have lost if Chris Shays had ran in 2010/14. I don't think McKinney would have done the job had he won the primary instead of Foley, but I guess we'll never know.

Dan Malloy, complete with his mediocre popularity (for a northern democrat), and the fact that connecticut is a Safe D (presidential state) anyways, adds nothing to the ticket, although if Hillary wants a bland, do no harm or good choice, he'd probably fit the bill. But I doubt that's what Hillary wants.
