The 2015 Chicago mayoral election will take place on February 24, 2015, to elect the Mayor of Chicago.



The election is non-partisan and if no candidate receives an absolute majority, a runoff will be held between the top two finishers on April 7, 2015.

Incumbent Mayor Rahm Emanuel, a member of the Democratic Party who has been in office since 2011, is running for re-election to a second term in office.

Rahm has been hovering right around 50 in most polls on this race, which is bad news for us in the Anybody But Rahm crowd. Low turnout + lack of enthusiasm for alternatives means he'll probably get 50% today, but here's to hoping he does not.
