Unfortunately, for Emanual, he got endorsement of Rauner yesterday. With low approvals of both, Garcia will have the needed support, in the early vote to win. Hope Patrick Daley loses and Amy Cappleton wins runoffs, two new alderman.

Even if Garcia loses, my point was that the CPS teachers union will get new half a dozen alderman, equivalent to the turnover in Daley's last term in 2007,

Dr. Wilson says that he's going to vote for Chuy Garcia, but he still might endorse Rahm anyway. Tongue

It will be a colossal upset if Garcia pulled it out. But, the chances are still low and the aldermanic races are the real test and he is doing just like the other politicans and doing things safe like Kirk, Rauner and Durbin.

All I am saying is that after making it to runoff, it wasnt enough, he needed to do more to the voters to prove he deserves to be mayor. And Garcia hasnt and typical politics style, all major endorsements, once again are lining behind Emanuel.

Sounds like something Andrew Cuomo would do.

New Rahm ad. The substance is good, but he just looks tired and beat down.

Rahm Emanuel to win re-election is down from 94% to 67% on PredictIt. I'm getting very nervous. This is dropping every day.

Such a phony on the minimum wage. He fought the business interests? They were never vocal. It was the progressives that wanted $15 and over a shorter period than what he proposed that were vocal, and he fought them. He's been fighting the progressives the whole time and he needs to own that.

Both Danny Davis and Jesse Jackson have recently endorsed Chuy Garcia for the runoff election. Representatives Bobby Rush and Luis Gutierrez, as well as President Obama, are supporting Rahm.  Garcia could win if he's able to re-assemble Harold Washington's old political coalition, but I'm not optimistic because Rahm has a lot more money in his campaign.

Yeah, the challengers to these aldermanic races seem to be losing steam as well, Jesse Jackson got in late, and should of endorsed Garcia like he did Carol Mosley Braun, in February.

There's actually some truth to this. How much is Rauner's (and Kirk's) support going to hurt vs. help in a Chicago Democratic primary??

Well this is the general, not a primary. So it isn't as if Republicans aren't voting in this race.
