The point is both good and bad. As trite and simplistic as naming streets after various non-local people can be, street names tend to be insipid anyway.  And it's not as if such existing Roswell street names as Pennsylvania Ave. are local.

They have a lot of states as street names. And there's Lincoln, Stanton, and Sherman. I don't think Roswell had the honor of being burned by General Sherman.
