He's so obviously just been toying with the GOP for these years. I never get the sense that he is serious about anything he says - he's an entertainer in everything he does, and he's made boatloads off of it.

Lolololol

Trump would do about as well as Goldwater did in the GE.

Which is scary when you think about the enormous difference in quality.

According to Quinnipiac, 76% of voters say they definitely will not or probably will not support Trump.

http://www.quinnipiac.edu/news-and-events/quinnipiac-university-poll/national/release-detail?ReleaseID=2172

However, 32% of Republicans say they definitely or probably will support him. Imagine if he won the nomination on that plurality? A man can dream...

Trump won't be in it to win. He'll be in it to boost his own profile and troll even more.

I applaud his efforts. I can picture the debate stage now... boring Walker and Bush in the middle, flanked beautifully by Trump and Carson.

Ah, these old posts when everyone thought TRUMP wouldn't run, I'll admit I was one of those people and if he ran he would do badly, now he's curb stomped 14/16 opponents

He might get nominated, but I doubt he takes the general.

The debates will be magical. Jeb Bush standing between Ben Carson and Donald Trump will be the best thing.

Oh, can you imagine the Trump/Christie catfights?

Close, but no cigar!

I'd say I was still closer than anyone else in the thread. Just sub in another name for Christie and I'm golden.

Can we wait until July before we begin celebrating (or lamenting) a Trump nomination?

Isn't it sad that the best case scenario for anti-Trumpeters are riots at a contested convention where Lyin' Teddy Canuck steals the nomination?

It is funny how he defied my every expectation and ran as an actual paleocon and not the cartoonish Tea Party/Cruz/Palin style nut.

So during the primaries Lief was sarcastically supporting Trump because he expected him to be the easiest opponent for Hillary, right?

Thoughts now?

I am pretty sure whenever Lief contemplates this now, he has visions of Trump reciting the Snake.

He has 0% chance of winning the nomination, but jeez. If he did, we could have another 1984 on our hands.

Hey, come on. Give Hillary a little credit. Trump would certainly win, but I think Hillary could pull a few states.
