How many African American voters could a VP candidate Ben Carson attract?

AAs won't just vote for any black candidate. Honestly, Carson as a VP pick would probably hurt more than he would help.

No. Blacks hate black Republicans. Just watch seven seconds of TV One or BET.

Let's just say comparing Obamacare to slavery doesn't get you much crossover support.

Maybe half a percent. How much black voters did that insane LG candidate in Virginia in 2013 get? Oh wait, he lost by 11% to a candidate who barely even campaigned.

I love how Republicans think so lowly of brown people that they believe they'll just vote for someone cause they look kind of like them.

It's not a mug's game to think that some black civil rights activists might vote for Carson as VP in order to send a signal, all the more if they're more conservative than the Democratic Party as a whole.

10 to 20.

In all seriousness, Carson won't make it past NH and if he does get the VP pick he will be seen as a token pick. Black voters are 95% or higher solid Dem.

Because Democrats didn't do that with Obama...

Blacks voted overwhelmingly for Obama because he is a Democrat, not because he is black.

Though it did help with enthusiasm. We didn't vote for him because he's black. We voted, period, because he was black. Regardless of color wed've voted for him, being black just made us more likely to vote.
