Haiti, the Afro-Haitian dance and cuisine are absolutely incredible...the climate sucks. Also the language is far easier to learn from English.

Holland, however unacceptable the rest of the Dutchies may find that.

But among the real options, I'll be the first Honduras vote

Haiti is incredibly beautiful, plus I know a good deal of Haitian immigrant neighbors who are pretty cool.

Haiti is by far the most culturally and historically interesting of those. A deeply flawed, but fascinating FF country.

I love Budapest, but found Hungarians pretty cold and stuck up when I visited and Honduras has an abysmal crime rate (worse than Haiti) and is among the least interesting Central American countries.

Definitely agree with the first half of your post, and I've never been to Hungary so I can't dispute you.

How funny, all the Hungarians I ever met were quite kind.

It was quite a close call, but ultimately I like Afro-Haitian culture enough to override Budapest and the Carpathians.

Haiti is a massive Freedom Country and deserves its impending win.  But I am duty-bound to vote for Bela Bartok's homeland.

Just realizing that boring white countries won literally every poll so far (OK, I voted for Canada, Denmark and Finland, but come on).

Nothing wrong with boring White countries! Except in this case: Hungary seems awful right now (as does Honduras), so I voted Haiti by process of elimination.

Okay, it just seemed like a weird time for such an outburst now that Haiti is winning.

I voted Australia, Botswana, Cape Verde, Dominica, Ethiopia, Fiji, Ghana, Haiti, so I have done my part.

(Australia is a fantastic place and almost inevitable for A, even if Antigua and Barbuda looks nice. Wink )

Honduras.  Our school had the country at Model UN.  I recall Model UN very well for two reasons,  We did it for the first time in my senior year and at our state's model UN, we had an idiot school playing the US government so as to fulfill the nightmares of the John Birch society and practically hand everything over to the trustworthy Soviets.  (And this was during the Reagan administration.)

I actually posted before even voting, then edited my post to avoid misunderstandings. Thank God Hungary isn't winning...

I have discovered a trend here, everytime a Finno-Ugric country are running, people complain extra much about people voting for a White country. The conclusion I come to is that the people complaining is a bunch of Indo-European supremacists, who in their bigotry can't stand the thought that a non-Indo European country wins.

BTW I voted Hungary, not because it's a very nice country , but honestly it's up against Honduras and Haiti, the two poorest and most crime ridden Latin American countries
