This is only a hypothetical for now, but I'm wondering who you guys would support in this race.

Keep in mind, while Strickland might have more cash and name ID advantages, P.G. is the more progressive and has killer campaign skills for just a City Councilman.

I think you guys already know how I'll vote. Tongue

Strickland, though I don't think Sittenfeld would be a sacrificial lamb.

Personally Sittenfeld seems better, but I want to win, so Stickland.

Ted Strickland. I have no doubt he is our best opportunity to take that Senate seat back. The Senate is far too crucial to allow otherwise secondary candidates to take the helm.

I realize (and am disappointed) that Ohio Democrats have been quite thoroughly decimated. At this point, we need high profile people at the top. That means we need Strickland for Senate and someone like Ryan for Governor in 2018. The lower profile names right now should be working on the statewide offices below the Governorship. I don't know what his specifications are, but someone like Sittenfeld should be aiming towards other positions in state government.

I really like Strickland.  His gubernational tenure was great, and if I could vote for him I would in a heartbeat - though Sittenfield sounds like a decent guy.
