With Bacon King's election to the vice presidency, a special election for his At-Large senate seat will likely be held in the coming weeks. As all three major parties have an active interest in holding/taking this seat, it is likely to be an engaging campaign. Fmr. President Averroes is likely the best-positioned potential candidate within TPP (though a run by Pacific Speaker Turkisblau or former Vice President MattVT is not out of the question), while Dereich could seek to imitate Senator Cris and President Lumine, both failed TNF challengers who were later elected to an At-Large seat. Speaker Maxwell, meanwhile, proved his viability as a candidate in the last presidential election and has indicated an interest in a Senate seat in the past. Then there are the Laborites, represented here by Northeast Lt. Governor Griffin, who would have complete control of the Senate if they won Bacon King's seat.
Three days.

EDIT: Maxwell has changed his party registration to Federalist.

Griffin.
Think of how thrilling an all-labor government would be! Can't wait.

The last time that happened was under DemPGH Tongue

But in all seriousness, I'd support Maxwell. He's been an amazing representative of the South and I'd love to see him serve at the federal level.

I'm not running - I'm too grouchy and too busy for that at present - but I'll probably vote for whomever proves to be the most viable non-Labor candidate.

That would be entertaining though and this time I don't have to suffer through it. Tongue I win, even when I lose. Evil
