That would be an ironic election. A young Arkansan going up against someone from the previous generation after twelve years of opposite party rule.

Cotton is too conservative, he will bomb outside of Arkansas.

I've never heard of Tom Cotton until this thread. That may be a sign of a larger problem.

Tom Cotton will lose, then he might come back a decade later and win Nixon style.

Cotton would definitely reconquer Arkansas in 2020, even against Hillary.
The question is if he could run for both Senate and President.

That problem being that you're not enough of a political geek to be on this site?  Tongue

I have a strong inclination that Cotton will be the Republican nominee in either 2020 or 2024.

More that I don't care who he is because I know already he's irrelevant. I doubt I'm the only one that feels that way.

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that he's been in the Senate for just over two months? He hasn't had much time to raise a national profile.

Tom Cotton shot himself in the foot (political  hyperbole) early. He has much time to recover by 2024. In 2020 he will run for re-election, and if he is execrable enough he loses.

Unfortunately, nobody's going to remember or care about this in 5 years.

The stench of corruption and recession and old age will sink Hillary in 2020. Dems win or lose in 2020, Hillary wont be taking the oath of office on Jan 20, 2021

No way she doesn't run for reelection.

Please. I forgot to include the 2018 disaster that Clinton will be blamed for.

After 12 years and the consumption of their own propaganda that the Dem party is the permanent majority, there will likely be party challenger if she does run.

I honestly think this has a good chance of being the 2020 race.

Well wow at you predicting Tim Kaine as her VP pick. He was never really on my radar in 2016 let alone 15.

Kaine was being talked about as a leading Clinton VP contender at least as far back as early 2015:

Or if you prefer, even before that, back when he "pre-endorsed" Clinton in May of 2014:
