From what I can tell, Netanyahu's actions have seriously harmed his relations with President Obama, in at least the short run.  I mean, his speech was a breach of diplomatic protocol - amidst an electoral campaign.  Is Obama unhappy with him?  Of course.  And everyone is seeing this speech for what it is - even the Israeli electoral authority.  They refused a request from Likud to show the speech live on Israeli television - because they know it is a campaign ad for his re-election.  And just when you thought no one could make it worse, the relationship between Barack Obama and Benjamin Netanyahu was worsened by...Benjamin Netanyahu.
Well played...you really are helping Israel with your speech.  Obama will surely change his mind about a nuclear Iran, solely by the power of your Churchillian rhetoric.

Other than blow up a ship, what has Israel done for America to warrant the term "special relationship"?

Be a democracy. Never mind that there are over a hundred other democracies in the world, some far less flawed, that don't merit the kind of attention that Israel gets.

We should send that aid instead to democracies that actually could use some help, like Ghana.

We don't need your liberal tears, thank you very much.
