Walker (for now)

He could still screw it up though, 10 months is a long time.

Which is of course why Romney won the Republican nomination in 2008.

I'll stick my neck out and say that Bush will eventually overtake Walker.

Christie. The fact that Walker is the flavor of the month 20 months before the election means nothing.

Bush is the most underrated in this poll compared to my subjective evaluation of his odds, so him.

Why did Walker begin so high then immediately crater? Low turnout?

Anyway, I'm glad to say I was one of those people voting Walker even when he was at 3-4%. Even if he doesn't end up winning, at least he wasn't Pawlenty 2.0.

We won't know the Republican nominee until November 2016? Tongue

Scott Walker at this point, though Jeb Bush would have a chance if Walker flounders as a candidate.

Switching to Kasich.  I think he'll jump in, get 100% of the big donor support and emerge from a divided field.  "Blue state Republicans" will almost certainly all coalesce behind him, and the more conservative voters will be split between several other choices.

Bush. Walker is a flavor of the month (or maybe 2 months, we'll see). Bush is going to be the nominee, though.

It doesn't look like anybody will challenge him from the establishment wing, either.

Voted Walker. At the very least, I think it'll come down to him, Rand, and a establishment candidate who'll likely be Bush or perhaps Rubio or Christie if Bush falters.

Because we were foolish and thought Mary Burke actually had a shot at defeating him in a republican wave year.

Bush

I was on the Pence/Kasich bandwagan early on but that was when it looked like Bush wasn't going to run. But I think Bush taking up too much of the establishment money/support for either of them to have an opening, unless he stumbles in some way.

I'm all in Walker. I'd say it would take the same sort of scandal/poor campaign management that people are hoping for out of Hillary to doom him at this point.
