Let's say that, in 2016, a series of unfortunate events make it so that Senate majority and minority leaders Mitch McConnell and Harry Reid are selected as the Republican and Democratic nominees for president, respectively.  Who do you believe their vice presidential selections would be, and who do you think would win?

Mitch McConnell - Republican/KY - 269 EV's
Harry Reid - Democrat/NV - 269 EV's

This is generic with no specific VP's, but I foresee record low turnout and an electoral tie.

Reid carries it by a thread with his connections.  Remember, these are the two most politically accomplished men in the nation, even more so than the President.

Missouri is a populist, evangelical state which Jean Carnahan and McCaskill won statewide office. It isnt a swing state in presidential races, but can be won by statewide Dems. Exception of Holden and Nixon. Koster in gov race has a chance.

So 272-266? A Reid Presidency would be an interesting TL. Would this be in 2016 because I wonder the Senate Race in NV then.
