I am represented by Pete Sessions.  I dislike him of course.  I was wondering what you thought about your representative.
I also don't exactly see eye to eye politically with my two senators.  Cruz is obnoxious, and Cornyn is almost as bad.

Paul Ryan is okay, better than most Republicans. Will probably vote for him in the future so long as there's not a (non-joke) Libertarian running.

How so? Which Republicans would you not vote for?

Being the Chairman of the House Budget Committee helps. His focus on fiscal matters and actually proposing stuff makes him better than most Republicans. He's pretty terrible on foreign policy but his good positions outweigh the bad. I probably would not vote for 80% of Republicans in Congress at this point.

I volunteered for Rick Nolan last year and really like him. Disappointed in his KXL stand, but his other FF positions and his affable personality in general make up for it.

Al Franken and Amy Klobuchar are great.

A menace I'll never be rid of (Dave Reichert is my representative).
Hmm...Democrats have been trying to knock him off every election cycle since he was first elected.
I imagine there are many Democratic voters who want him gone.

She's a typical right-winger, and I got a bad impression from her campaign in 2010.  Her ads were both negative and stupid, and she had a record of receiving numerous speeding tickets and not showing up in court (resulting in warrants for her arrest) and her good looks helped her get elected.

To be fair, she could be worse.  She's not as bad as Michelle Bachmann, but she's worse than even many South Dakota Republicans.

I guess then you have nostalgia for Stephanie Herseth Sandlin?

Actually, no.  Stephanie was not my favorite at all, but she was better than Noem.

Yes. And we probably would have ousted him in 2012, had Slade Gorton not redistricted the eighth to include the heavily conservative eastern Cascades. Now he can basically serve as long as he pleases.
The 8th could be tinkered quite easily to make Reichert lose.  I guess then you think it's too bad Washington doesn't allow mid-decade redistricting?

Well, considering I voted for Brendan Boyle and he's a freshman who hasn't done anything to piss me off yet, I'm fine with him. He's much better than Allyson Schwartz was.

I'm still registered in NC, so I'm not the happiest camper here.

Pittenger and Burr are both empty suits and Tillis is obviously the scum of the Earth.

Guinta's a corrupt prick who believes that if you're against NSA spying you stand with the terrorists and Joe Pitts literally gave money to Ugandans to burn condoms.

They are not Representatives, they are Senators.

Warner is okay, but Kaine's pretty much a Northern stooge who is simply better than what the alternatives are.

Well this thread refers to Senators too, just to clear up any potential confusion.

I'll use the Hogwarts Grading Scale:

MN-02 (Home District):

John Kline: Dreadful
Al Franken: Acceptable
Amy Klobuchar: Exceeds Expectations

IA-04 (District I am going to college in):

Steve King: Troll
Joni Ernst: Poor
Chuck Grassley: Exceeds Expecations

Scott Rigell is the most overrated, faux-moderate obnoxious Congressman in this country. The car salesman has zero experience or talent apart from getting elected.

I'll go ahead and disagree with MormDem, I like Kaine more than Warner as he seems to be a more issues-orientated Senator who has been outspoken about foreign policy (and I agree with him!), whereas Warner's schtick is that he was a popular governor; there's a reason he's not running on his senate record and that's because he hasn't really done much.
