Given all that happened since the OP, this thread is hillarious.

There is something deliciously appropriate about the Fedoralists ruling over the collapsing scenery of Atlasia, yes. 50% turnout is a big improvement on the last election's 39%, though!

Good luck with "Mock Parliment" but there's no need for you and others to constantly snicker and sneer at Atlasia if you're no longer interested in participating.

This exactly. I'm fairly active over there, and it seems that one of the major problems is the anti-Atlasia bias. Everything's "oh no, not that evil Atlasia/Yankee legalism!!!" whenever someone asks for a simple rules clarification. They're asking for that because writing a constitution is apparently a terrible sin--mostly because Atlasia did it. And this whole ban on simultaneous officeholding is suicide--BUT Oakvale, to his credit, is going to propose a less destructive version of it--and I'm certainly glad about that.

Lol, I bet the geniuses on the right who encouraged the Labor revival are feeling rather smart today...

Still, if the Federalist Party survived the 2015 trauma it will most certainly survive this (Federalism post March 2015 would have killed for having the equivalent of a third of the Senate and a still respectable House minority).

This is nothing like Feb 2015 ASV.

This is a closer parallel, save for Labor being the incumbent: https://uselectionatlas.org/AFEWIKI/index.php/June_2013_Presidential_Election

We're Still Standin after all this time, picking up the pieces... We're still Standin, yea yea yea

Using a line from a song that's the same age as me isn't helping your cause.

Atlasia has been prematurely measuring me for my coffin since 2009.  90% of the people foolish enough to do so, are long gone. That is the true lesson of this thread and its sister.

I made the post awhile back that the Federalists were a party where everyone was doing their own thing and was excoriated for it by many within the party as being 'wrong' and disloyal for pointing out the obvious fact.

I then stood back and watched as they proved me 100 percent right. Rather than stand by and defend their own members, they pretty much left them out to dry. Then people wonder why they get annihilated in the last election.

While I am sad that those who worked hard to represent their members, folks like fhtagn and Yankee are done, this comes with a time for needed reflection.

First off, members who claim to be federalists and spend all their time attacking Federalists need to be evicted. Of course, there's not much to lose at this point.

Anyways, glad to see that the 'results' of the 'new way of doing business' have proven their effectiveness. Hopefully someday we'll see the folks responsible owning up to their behavior, but I sincerely doubt they will as they probably interpreted it as 'purging' the rolls of unbelievers or somesuch.

It is ironic that you were so treated because I have basically been saying the same thing since the Oakvale expulsion if not before.

"Yankee and Fhtagn shall rise again, Mr Kenobi!"

First off, members who claim to be federalists and spend all their time attacking Federalists need to be evicted. Of course, there's not much to lose at this point.

That isn't possible, but it misses the point. If we merely continue the cycle of trying to kick out undesirables, a process that started back in December with the attempt to expel Oakvale, it only continues this corrosive trend.

Bottom line, Federalists need to stop looking for ways and reasons to make other Federalists the enemy.
