He's running to sell books at worst, to be a vice presidential choice at best.

Well the latter won't happen, so I wish him the best in selling his books.

Why would he run for Senate? He's not going to win the Presidency or a Senate race, but he could get more influence by running for President.

Any chance he decides not to run, and instead runs for Senate in Maryland?

That would have been a wiser better idea. Or perhaps even Michigan last year.

Why would Maryland vote in Ben Carson as Senator? He appeals to the most conservative of conservatives - basically not the kind of people in Maryland.

He wants to get his message out, and the only real way he can do that is run for President.
