Many good candidates here, but I like Edwards and Van Hollen best.

See signature, though Van Hollen would be fine too.

In order of preference:

1) Edwards
2) Mizeur (though now that I've already voted, it seems like Mizeur would be better for 1))
3) Rawlings-Blake
4) Van Hollen
5) Sarbanes
6) Everyone else
7) Anthony Brown

Chris Van Hollen is the most logical choice, and hence mine.

May I ask why? Logical in the ideological sense or the electoral sense? Because it's not like a nomination of anyone but CVH would result in a Republican win. In fact, I highly doubt any of those included in the poll becoming the nominee would.

Logical in the ideological sense. I'm sure everybody on that list would win a solid victory.

Gansler if I wanted the democrats to win. If I wanted them to lose, Anthony Brown.

Whether I want the democrats to win or lose depends on what I think of the eventual republican frontrunner's platform.

No Matthews option? Not that I would necessarily vote for her but she's running.

Voted Mizeur.

Its looks like April 5th.

No Matthews option? Not that I would necessarily vote for her but she's running.

Voted Mizeur.

She's running for the open MD-08, not Senate.

Van Hollen who was in charge of the DCCC, was a fundraiser and knows how to build up cash real fast. He will be an asset in fundraising to the Senate should he win the senate seat.

And can raise help Tester raise money for the other competetive senate races.

Err...Doug Gansler is a far worse candidate than Anthony Brown and ran a terrible campaign in 2014.

If anything, Mizeur was the best candidate from that field.

Of course it was a pretty weak field overall (though Brown had been considered a rising star, IIRC).

I'm really tired of that term, "rising star", it doesn't mean anything. Anthony Brown was a rising star, Ed FitzGerald was considered a rising star and the list goes on and on of rising stars who never were bright to begin with.
