As speaker I hereby open the nomination hearings for Rpryor as chief judical officer of the Northeast. The applicant will make an opening statement, and then all Assembly members will be able to ask questions. And so it begins.

Basic question: what experience do you have to be a good CJO?

I spent approximately six months in the Northeast Assembly, serving as Deputy Speaker. In November, I was appointed by President Lumine to serve as Deputy Attorney General. As DAG, I updated the wiki, chaired the Commission on Electoral Reform, and served as a prosecutor. I would also like to direct the members to my DAG hearing, which can be found here: https://uselectionatlas.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=202870.0

You're previous experience is clear, along with your good work on the wiki.

I was wondering, from a legal sense how do you see the office of CJO? Would you encourage impeachment against non-active players?

I'd also like to refer to this recent bill passed by the Assembly, some have questioned the legality of such action on the basis that it's foreign policy, what's your view?

1. I see the role of the CJO as a mixture of a Supreme Court Justice and Election Secretary.  As CJO, I will serve as the Chief Legal Authority in the Region, as well as administer Regional Elections. I believe that should a member miss the three consecutive votes, as stated in the NE Constitution, they should be removed.

2. I will not comment on a bill without it being brought to me in the Court. I am following the example of previous CJOs, including Barnes.

Having known rpryor03 for some time, I can attest to his dedication, knowledge, and abilities.

I would have no objections whatsoever in having him confirmed.

I love this guy. He's done a lot of work behind the scenes and I encourage his swift confirmation.
