We're pleased to report that the bomb scare turned out to be unsubstantiated. However, communication from the preparator (s)bears all marks of those of the PMA.

I thank the agents of the FBI, I'll have some personal remarks on the terrorist and my own view on the endorsement vote later. In the meantime, we will have a quick vote on the Senate endorsement (to end one or two hours before the actual election) and a 48 vote on the leadership election.

DKrol decided to join Civic Renewal and we should respect his decision.
Obviously I'm glad to have him in the party. He is an active member of Atlasia and also I think that CR is the perfect party for him. Smiley

On the endorsement vote, I'll vote Abstain and obviously I'll support the endorsed candidate of the party. Regardless of this election, I think that DKrol has a future here!

Look, I respect Dkrol's decision and I'm more than glad to have him as a member of this party, and to be honest I would appreciate if we could stop harassing a new player by making his choice about a political party.

Furthermore, I would like to ask non party members to stop interrupting the convention (as this is the second time).

I would love to stop interrupting your convention, but I feel like I should respond to the false, histrionic accusations you're making, especially considering I was the one who helped the rest of the leadership to accept him. After this, I'll be continuing our discussion somewhere else.

I'm not harassing him at all. In fact, I was the one who welcomed him to TPP when he first joined, and I specifically told him that he should definitely run for Assembly (hell, even today I still think he'd be a good Representative). I put a lot of faith into this guy and essentially convinced the leadership that he could handle an order this tall. I helped your party member earn enough standing to run a competitive primary race with a candidate who was only sunk by the sheer inelasticity in the Midwest, but that apparently wasn't good enough. Instead of building up a base and trying for a better seat in April or June, he decided to try his luck in CR and try to win the nomination there.

So yes - excuse me for calling him out in your threads, because I did him a lot of favors, and I honestly feel like I got f**ked over.

Rpryor is right, and both votes are hereby closed. Congratulations to Secretary Cris and Vice-Chairman Rpryor! I really look forward to working with them to organize and lead this party.

Right, time to restart this and deal with what's left to solve.

We will have a 48 hour period to propose names for the party, after which we will hold a 48 hour vote on the name. "Civic Renewal" will be included on the ballot, but I believe it is a good idea to cover different names and I encourage our members to propose.

Then we can deal with the symbols and the platform, and it's off to fight the April Senate Election, in which I hope we will able to work hard to secure Cris's reelection.

With no objections and no alternatives, we can consider Civic Renewal the formal name!

I leave the floor open for suggestions regarding symbols (as in logo, color, songs as so on) for us to vote or decide, but I think the priority right now is the platform. I will try to prepare a small draft with some basic points to be expanded, but I would really like to see the party members proposing what they believe is right for the party (regarding any area of policy).
