Here's a nice run-down of its history: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daylight_saving_time_in_the_United_States

The version I am referring to was originally signed into law in 1966, and amended in 2005.

Yes, I like the sun staying out until 2045 in the summer time.

No.  If people prefer to have more daylight in the afternoon, then do it year round.

Yes, but do it year-round. Changing the times twice a year is awful.

I light the intensity of the sun in the summer time and like to go to the beach, I like to stick to Savings time.

AZ and HI, where it is too hot, doesn't need it, so they stay out of it.

I'd prefer it year round... (what good is sunrise at or before 5? Sun until after 8 is far preferable)

Rather than have it year round, why not just stick with standard time and shift your schedule to later in the day?

My opinion on this hasn't changed. I hate DST. We should go back to standard time permanently.

No. I prefer light in the morning, but I don't care, just stop making me monkey with the goddam clocks. Sad

Ah well, I woke up at 7:24 this a.m. The previous morning it was 6:24 a.m., which is normal. Not this morning. Nice. I'll be adjusted (hopefully) tomorrow. Alarm set for sure.

No, and let's get rid of separate time zones while we're at it.

Wait, what? Is this serious, or subtle dry trolling?

This is irrational. We should just change our working hours.

Daylight savings time should be kept. Standard time should of course be abolished.
