Wisconsin voters are getting what they deserve for failing to get rid of him (twice).

Walker said in 2011 that he wouldn't touch private sector unions. So much for that.

The real irony about these laws (other than the irony about it being government intruding on business) is that a majority of the people who will use right-to-work to their advantage are likely to be undocumented immigrants. Nobody else really has much motive to say no to joining the union.

There are so many angles in which right-to-work is simply contradictory to the basic beliefs of conservatism and nothing more than just spite legislation.

On the contrary, this is political brilliance on Walker's part. This law strikes a blow against a major Democratic constituency in a swing state, demoralizes Democrats, energizes similar efforts in other states, and cements Walker's reputation among the Republican base as someone who is willing to put his views into action and get results, not just talk about them.

lol.   I think I'm beginning to understand Walker's appeal. If it weren't for the hyperbole of the Left, Walker would be a nobody.

Obama can fix this with a stroke of a pen. He can issue an executive order that says unions don't have to pay for services for people who won't pay fair share fees.

If he does that, it's the end of "right-to-work."

Always interesting how the GOP packages really awful things under names that on a symbolic level mean the opposite of what they're pushing off on everyone. Somewhere someone watching Fox sees it and says, "Yeah! Right to work! Show them Commies, Guhvnuh."

No, he can't. If he tried, it would be overturned like so many of his overreaching joke executive orders.

LOL at you silly "liberals" feigning outrage about this. Everyone knows Mary Burke would've done the same thing.

Nice Joke.

But for the record, this is one of the races where there was really good contrast between the two candidates. Burke's problem was the year she chose to ran in, her ties to Fmr. Gov. Jim Doyle, and her lack of experience holding political office. It wasn't that she didn't draw a clear contrast with Walker.

That wasn't hyperbolic at all. Right to work and it's enactment is entirely symbolic of America being ceded to those with the most capital, a process that the right has been putting to action since Reagan.

I agree with you that this issue is entirely symbolic.
