Ex-Eagles WR Jeremy Maclin signs with Kansas City.

Ex-Seahawks DB Byron Maxwell signs with Philadelphia.

Ex-49ers RB Frank Gore signs with Indianapolis.

Ex-Ravens WR Torrey Smith signs with San Francisco.

If it's not been finalized yet, I hope Suh does indeed sign with Miami. Their D was inconsistent - great one week, awful the next. A guy like that could make a huge difference.

Jimmy Graham to Seattle is a big one, but they lose Byron Maxwell to the Eagles, which hurts, but I think they knew that there was no way they were keeping everybody.

We went from first (or second) to worst pretty quickly. This season is going to hurt.

They got their new stadium, and no longer feel the need to put out a good product. I expect the 49ers to be bad for at least 2-3 seasons at this point.

Remember that when LeSean McCoy pounds through your Wilfork-less front seven, Geno Smith passes circles around your Revis-less secondary and Ndamukong Suh rips through your already mediocre o-line like paper, then we'll talk about jokes

>implying geno smith or ryan fitzpatrick can pass in the first place
>implying cameron wake doesn't do that anyway
>implying the best linebacking corps in the afc won't make any speed runners irrelevant
>implying geno smith has anyone to throw to
>implying our o-line is mediocre
>implying wilfork is already gone

We played the Lions this year. Put up 34 points on them and held them to 9.

Also, when the o-line was Solder, Connolly, Stork, Wendell, and Vollmer, it was virtually impenetrable.

Ndamukong Suh wasn't the only player on the Lions' defense, you know. Brady threw for 2 TDs in that game.

Our owner doesn't care. He just wants to be in control, even if it means replacing a proven success at Head Coach with a spineless yes man.

Very true. Brady threw 2 to Tim Wright, and LeGarrette Blount ran for 2.

Darren McFadden just signed with the Dallas Cowboys to replace DeMarco Murray.  2 years, don't know the price.

Darren McFadden is a good running back who has started all 32 games the last 2 seasons for Oakland behind a tissue paper O-line.  Now, he goes behind one of the best O-lines in the NFL in Dallas, so his numbers should improve dramatically this season.  I'm glad Jerry has moved on from Adrian Peterson or Ray Rice.  Both of them come with great risks.  McFadden is not a trouble maker, so this should be a much better decision.

1. He only played 26 games the last 2 seasons, and he only started 19 of them.
2. Regardless of his "tissue paper" offensive line (which included the likes of Menelik Watson, Donald Penn, Jared Veldheer and Andre Gurode, which is not a bad group of guys) he still rushed for an average of 3.35 yards per carry over the past two seasons. Any running back who has a shred of talent should be doing better than that regardless of his o-line.
3. He's had repeated foot injuries that have plagued him for the past 4 seasons.
4. He entered the NFL draft with character concerns due to 2 different nightclub fights.

So no, he's not your solution. He's not even an every down back, so his numbers won't improve very much if they improve at all. Terrible signing, and he was only signed because he went to Arkansas.

This signing is irrelevant. Joseph Randle will flourish.

Seattle during the Carroll era has never had an elite receiver in any position, with the exception of maybe Golden Tate (Who didn't really start to shine until he got to Detroit). It's partially the reason they rely on the run so heavily.
