I made it home from work.  Oh what a fantastic day!!  They had me doing quite a few things today.  I worked the counter, that is taking customer's orders, weighing them, and wrapping them and putting a price sticker on them.  I monitored the display, mainly the chicken and moved things around and restocked them as necessary.  Then, after my break at 8:00, we got started cleaning.  It took us until 10:20 to clean up and then we were able to leave.  I wasn't real dirty doing the counter or the display, but I got dirty cleaning things up.  We had to clean all the meat grinders and cutters and all the pans they used.  Then, we had to get all the crumbs of meat sprayed and squeegeed off the floor and into the drain in the center of the back room.  I visited the cooler several times and even visited the freezer once early on.  That freezer is so cold it could kill you pretty easy, so you have to know what you're looking for and kind of know where it is.  But, I had so much fun and I am one blessed man tonight.  I am about to hop in the shower shortly and clean up.  I may have to relegate my current tennis shoes to just work shoes and bring back my walking shoes for everywhere else.  Everybody at the store was really friendly and very helpful and very understanding that it was my very first day.  I did really well for my first day.  There is a lot to learn in this job, but it doesn't look like it will take a whole lot to learn this stuff.  I catch onto things pretty quick, so that will help me out here.  The customers, as you would expect for a health foods store, seemed more upper class and were very understanding that it was my first day.  These definitely did not look like the stereotypical Walmart customers.  Now, I am off until Friday at 1700 when I go back for Day 2.  God is good!  Oh, and my headache that I had this afternoon was non-existent during the entire shift!!

Wait, Bushie has insisted that he has had a persistent headache, of various grades, for years. He works one training shift at [redacted] and the darn headache is non-existent? Praise Buddha!

I am definitely going to feel every one of my muscles in the morning...  I am not as sore as I thought I would be, but I definitely know every single one of muscles right now.  My feet are killing me right now, and they are propped up right now.  I'm really not hungry right now despite having supper 8 1/2 hours ago.  Any dispute whether this constituted as exercise has been answered with a resounding YES, IT IS EXERCISE!!!  I never stood still, not for more than 90 seconds at a time.  I kept moving the entire 5 1/2 hours.  I just checked the scale this evening and I'm already a good 2, nearly 3, pounds lighter than I was this morning...  I am down to 287 right now, almost to 286.  If I can keep this up, this weight will come off at a pretty decent clip.

That freezer is so cold it could kill you pretty easy, so you have to know what you're looking for and kind of know where it is.

Grim foreshadowing, Bushie.

If you keep up this pace, you'll be non-existent in just 95 days! Praise!

Do they not use military time at Sprouts?

No, they don't.  I am starting to use both civilian and military time depending on what I feel like.

Do some light stretching before you go to bed. It will help your muscles feel less tight tomorrow. Google "light stretches before sleep" or something to get an idea of what to do.

Good Wednesday Morning!  I slept very well this morning and I'm not sore this morning.  The worst soreness I feel this morning is in my left wrist and arm.  My legs and feet are just fine.  I think that has a lot to do with the Aleve I took after I got home.  I officially extended the apartment lease for another 7 months today effective June 1 through December 31, 2015.  They really jacked up my rent, though.  My rent goes up $48 a month...  I make the next decision in the latter half of October.  I may find another place to live this coming winter, but I'll cross that bridge later.  For now, I can focus on getting my job off to a really good start and cultivating a winning formula for success here.  After sleeping on it, I am even more excited for Friday evening!

Jeff is on a high after a good first day of work, Allison compliments his new profile picture, and he wakes up the next day with a sore left wrist.

Mmm hmm.
