I feel my muscles tightening up as the evening progresses, so I am drinking some water to try to keep hydrated.  I know it's just typical soreness, so I'm not concerned about it at all and I've still got two days to recuperate.  I may do some light stretches as I watch basketball this evening just so I can loosen my muscles a bit.

Last night I worked 5 1/2 hours.  This amounts to approximately $45-$46 after taxes.  It's not a lot, but it's $45-$46 more than I made the past 9 weeks combined.

10/hr is plenty for a single man with cost of living in OK

10 an hour isn't that much. Any emergency can seriously hurt you, like car problems or medical. You don't have much room for error at all and it can be hard to build up a emergency fund.

It would go even further if he canceled his exorbitant cable package.

It'll definitely take being very frugal with my money.  I can manage it with the help of my parents.  I'm just getting started in this job.  If I can put in the time and due diligence at this low wage then eventually I may move up the pay scale and move up the ladder.

Said no single man in Oklahoma ever. You may be able to make the case that it's managable. It certainly is not plenty.

Also consider how much debt Bushie has. Yeah it might be livable, but there's a fine line between that and "plenty". As noted above, Bushie could at least cut back on the cable package.

Further consider that all of Bushie's day-to-day expenses, including rent, food, his new iPhone 6 Plus, unlimited calling plan, student loans and super deluxe cable package are footed by Papa Bushie. Anything he makes at [redacted] is thus "fun money," and will indeed go a long way toward improving Bushie's already lush unemployment lifestyle.

Except that I am now employed and my paycheck will not be "fun money".  I will be taking over several of my own bills, especially my Tulsa based bills like my rent, utilities, cable, etc.  I get paid every Friday starting on March 27, so it should make it easier to keep my bank account stocked.

Several of your bills, not all?  You won't be making enough to cover all of your expenses?  Is that because your current spending is greater than your take home pay, or is it solely due to the fact that you have to keep making interest payments on past debts?

As was stated before $10 an hour is not enough to cover all my expenses no matter how frugal I am.

You're hanging onto the super-duper Cox cable package though, right?

Even reducing that won't bring me into a surplus.

So I guess there's no point reducing it at all then.  Makes perfect sense.

How much is your monthly rent Bushie?

When I first got out of college I made $10/hr for awhile, and had $950 of rent+util to pay a month and made it with $500 to spend on myself a month. It wasn't that long ago. Things were a little bit cheaper but not that much.

All I had to do was abstain from buying new clothes and drink alcohol, which you do neither of. And suspend my gym membership, which you don't have, and I hit my budget for the month easily until I was making more money could afford such luxuries. But you don't partake in those luxuries so I don't know how you possibly could need so much money.

I pay $589 for now, but it will jump to $637 on June 1, plus roughly $100 electric give or take.

Okay, even with the jump, you should be bringing home about 1400 a month after taxes that leaves at minimum 663 to spend on yourself in food and luxuries.  I've gotten by with less. That's good money. Add in your grocery store discount and Indian healthcare and you have plenty IMO.

You really need to examine your expenses, Bushie, and cut some crap out.
