So are you quitting your grocery job now, or are you going to wait until later in the month?

He's going to give them "two weeks notice" tomorrow and, because he's only been working at the location 2 days  and is completely disposable, they will fire him.

Really he should probably just quit without notice in two weeks. He doesn't need a reference and he isn't putting this on his resume. He has another "job." He doesn't even live near the store location

I'm trying guys.  It may not be how you want it, but beggars cannot be choosers.  I'll start this job and I'll work long and hard at this job and surprise all of us.

I am optimistic.  I know my strengths and abilities.  I know my resolve and my determination.  Those factors make me optimistic.

I made it home from work.  Oh what a fantastic day!!...........God is good!  Oh, and my headache that I had this afternoon was non-existent during the entire shift!!

ROFL

In the first page he's also talking about buying "standing gear". More money from mommy and daddy down the drain. Pathetic.

Of course next time someone gives him and advice or predicts failure he will still claim to be smart and accuse others of pessimism because they don't believe in him.

McKesson has a central IT subcontracted operation near Tulsa.  So not at the pharmacy.....lol.

Did he tell you he was working there?

I assumed when he said pharmacy, he meant a McKesson/Caremark-type pharmacy benefit operation or a mail order pharmacy. A retail location would make no sense whatsoever.

I just found the perfect job for Bushie. No experience required and something he loves. Hot off the presses.

No Google. My friend Tony from Rite Aid ( a pharmacist) said there's no such animal in a retail store for any big chain.

There is clearly something not right at Sprouts now. Bushie was raving before about how excited he was to start his new "career". He specifically said career, not job. While it's not unheard of for people to low level jobs as a stop gap between better ones (hell I did myself, I worked Target overnight stocking for a few weeks after graduating college), Bushie was clearly intent on staying here for at least a month. And yeah odds are they'll just term him once he puts in the notice at this rate.

As for the new job, while it's common for very big stores to have on site IT staff, these are usually things like large sporting equipment or furniture ones that also do lots of mail order. Pharmacies are never that large. Also I don't see a local pharmacy having an employee around just to help the pharmacists with tech issues, considering how simple the computer interface must be, any IT staff would be more for managing the network, which is something far more difficult and that Bushie has no qualifications for, nor any almost always required certifications. So my guess is this is another call center contracting for some company that makes software pharmacies use. Probably just as valid a job as his current one, but one that Bushie based on past experience will obviously not succeed at.

McKesson is a mom-and-pop pharmacy don't ya know?  Bushie can get done his shift supporting local business and then go down to Cracker Barrel and get a home-cooked meal prepared with love.  A real man of the people, that Bushie.

I don't think there is a "perfect job" for Bushie. He's clearly physically and/or mentally incapable of working. He needs to go on disability.

Bushie, don't put in your two weeks notice. Just wait until April 17 and put it in then.

They're going to tell you not to come back when you do regardless. They won't let you work the extra 2 weeks. This way, you at least get paid for 2 more weeks.

He tried this two weeks' notice nonsense at the AT&T call center and they told him to GTFO. But doing the same thing again and expecting different results is part of his method.

Seriously considering it.

You always say that.  The pattern is: You criticize people for criticizing your decisions.  People respond: "Lol, if you don't want your decisions scrutinized, don't post every detail of your life.  Why are you updating us if you don't want us talking about it?"  You respond "I'm asking myself that more and more these days."  But then, even if you leave for a short time, you always come back.

If you don't want people here to criticize you for making bad decisions, you have three choices:

1) Don't make bad decisions.
2) Don't post about your life here on this forum.
3) Lie about your life, so that we all believe you're not screwing up, even when you are.

Any of those would work.  For example, on Number 3, you could just keep telling us that you're working at [redacted], even though you're not.  Since you've purged everyone here from FB, no one would know the difference.

Update XXIII: It doesn't matter what your questions are.

I guess I was right that it's a good thing we used this one chance to name an Update season "Cleaning up the meat", since the title wouldn't make sense after Bushie leaves the meat job.

Except I don't think he purged everyone from here from his FB. He only purged about half of us. I believe Duke, J-Mann and a few others are still friends with him on there.

I thought Keystone Phil was the only one left.  But whatevs...

Anyway, given that he's obviously technically proficient enough to be hired in IT, he should use FB's privacy options to post things only to select groups of his friends.  He could post according to one reality for those he knows in real life.  And then make posts for another reality for those he knows from the Atlas forum.

lol, I do always get a kick out of it when he hands in a two-weeks notice at these places where he has barely worked two weeks total.

Of course, these are the times when he usually gets escorted out of the building.

Could a picture of ODF on the security bulletin board of people banned from the Sprouts in Owasso be the next Update landmark?

I bet Bushie will be really sad/pissed if they actually accept his offer to work two more weeks. He clearly hates this place and I bet he is already looking forward to starting his next vacation with a trip to Braum's for lunch (shortly after he is escorted out of the building)!

Bushie is a thief.  Continually wasting people's time and money.  He tries to put on some old fashioned bull$hit act, but people back then, in popular imagination at least, had integrity.  The ideal was to do as you say and say as you do.  You cost this company money and provided no value. You stole your paycheck, congrats. At least bilk, something like an insurance company for paid training next time.
