This is a continuation of the poll that I previously posted here: https://uselectionatlas.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=207844.0

John Chiang took first place and Gavin Newsom took second place, so they have moved on to the general election.

This poll will run for 7 days.

I'd much rather have Chiang.

Chiang, progressive technocrats are better than psuedo-liberal corporatists.

He wants to legalize and tax it.

I do think Chiang would make a better Governor than Newsom, so my vote would go accordingly.

And the winner is: John Chiang (D), current state Treasurer and former state Controller.

Wow, I'm surprised Newsom didn't do better.

Oh and by the way, I fell like if he's elected, Newsom will reach near-Cuomo levels of hatred on here.

Like Cuomo, he'll (probably) still get reelected.

Well yeah, but he'll have more of a primary fight than Cuomo ever did when he was running for Governor originally.

No, California has a law limiting to two terms, but Brown found a loophole through that because he served as Governor before the bill passed.

I hate to nitpick, but that wasn't really a loophole, it was explicitly in the bill that those who served prior to it's passing would not be effected.
