It's a shame he has to go through this. He's remaining a closeted homo and breaking ethics rules in the process in fear that his party will persecute him if he reveals he's gay and find someone to primary him. He doesn't deserve this kind of political bigotry, but it would happen.
The irony is that if someone in the IL GOP really did just not want a Gay to be holding that seat, Schock has now made it very easy for them to avoid directly talking about that altogether and simply say that his flagrant and repeated violations of ethics laws are not acceptable (and they're not) and that's why they're running against him. Like-minded voters can fill in the blanks themselves without anything actually being said.
