I got an banner image ad once but it's rare. I think they accidentally slip through from time to time even though they aren't supposed to be there.
I have AdBlock but disable it for sites I actually like when the ads are not intrusive.
Also my current ad is somewhat ominous and apparently thinks I'm an elderly person who doesn't understand how to computer:
