I'm betting she picks a loyalist, someone who endorsed her in 2008. I could see Bill Nelson, Ted Strickland or Ed Rendell being considered, if not for VP then definitely for a cabinet position.

This. With all the talk about Clinton's age she will certainly pick a much younger running mate to neutralize it, just like Obama did with Biden and McCain with Palin (not a good example but we are talking about intentions here, not results).
