The leader of France’s nationalist party Front National, Marine Le Pen, has invited Swedish footballer Zlatan Ibrahimovic to “leave the country,” after the Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) player dubbed France a “sh*t country” which did not “deserve” his team.

Ibrahimovic, who is known for his hot temper and self-aggrandizing remarks, made the comment while storming off the pitch yesterday after the final whistle was blown on a match which saw his side lose against Bordeaux in France’s Ligue 1.

“In 15 years, I have never seen such a poor referee in this sh*t country, this country does not deserve PSG," Ibrahimovic exclaimed to French sports broadcaster Infosport+, who were waiting to interview him in the tunnel.

Ibrahimovic apologized hours after the outburst, clarifying he had been angry at the referee and that his verbal attack was not intended to offend France or the French people.

French sports minister, Patrick Kanner, commented that “disappointment was no justification for his offensive comments”, but commended Ibrahimovic’s apology as that of “a great champion”.

However, Le Pen, leader of France’s anti-establishment Front National, appeared to still be riled by the incident when she appeared on French radio station France Info this morning, saying that “whoever thinks that France is a ‘sh*t country’, can leave it”.

So, when Le Pen will self-deport? Given how much she critisizes France, her opinion is probably not good either.

So the guy is some jerk athlete and this is what she concerns herself with? I sure didn't see politicians getting involved when Terrell Owens suggested that Jeff Garcia was gay.

Welcome to France. Complaining about the most trivial things is our national sport.

Despite being a Catholic (due to his Croat mother) Ibrahimovic has a last name that sounds stereotypically Muslim, he looks foreign and his attitude is very provocative. So he is very well suited as a le Pen target. He likely pushes all the buttons for the average FN voter.

F**k yeah!

La France, tu l'aimes ou tu la quittes!

France, love it or leave it

Classical slogan of the modern French far-right.

I feel ashamed not to have fought about it myself.

You're not on the point, Zlatan (that's how he's called in France, I'm quite sure at least 60% of people don't even know his...what is that?? a name??...) is overall the symbol of money arrogance, of over paid people just to 'shoot in a ball'. When Q$G was still PSG we hadn't such a case in France, over paid footballers were overall in all other countries, there wasn't much to hit on those here. 1st thing.

2nd one, and not the least, what happened to PSG?

It's been bought and totally redesigned by the awful big bad...OH NO! THEM AGAIN!

...QATARIIIIIIIS!

Whom haven't the slightest complex to display all that big $$$$$$$$$$$ they have in the face of the poor miserable French people which obviously are the 'victims' (desperately conscenting) of all of this...

Hitting on Qatar is one of the major, and quite popular, aspect of Marine Le Pen's 'foreign policy'...

Point on which you're right though, but only partially I'd say, is Zlatan arrogance, well nowadays (this crazy nowadays...) the slightest word you would say against France, it seems to become kinda like 'what?? what the f**k?? you don't like your country!! you bloody f**king fake patriot, blahblhablha...', something like that, so when an overpaid footballers with Qatari money turns arrogant, yeah, that's full good for MLP, and for all 'journalists' who love dancing arround her, desperately waiting for a trashy comment...

On the other hand, and that's what makes part of Zlatan popularity, he's f**king arrogant, but, we're in France, so...
