I've always felt that it's odd for Egypt to essentially disavow its non-Muslim past. Other countries are always going on about how they're the descendants of xyz but when it comes to Egypt you feel they sell their past to the tourists and that's about it. If I was the dictator of Egypt I'd use more ancient Egyptian imagery. Get a new flag, coat of arms and so forth...embrace that stuff!
