For me:
Jurassic Park
Lion King (particularly "Circle of Life")
Toy Story

Honorable mentions to Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and Shrek.

There may be others.

The Land Before Time
Batman
Big Fish
Willow
The Princess Bride
The Star Wars Series
Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame
Disney's Beauty and the Beast
Pixar's Up

Anything composed Bernard Herrman

J.R.R Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings
John Williams' work on Harry Potter

Just about anything composed by Ennio Morricone but especially:

Cinema Paradiso (especially the Love Theme)

That's just for starters

The opening theme of Cannibal Holocaust (composed by Riz Ortolani) is some of the most beautiful music I've ever heard. It's even better juxtaposed with the disgusting content of the film.

Herrmann's scores for "Psycho" and "Vertigo" are probably the greatest masterpieces of the genre, though my favorite is George Antheil's score for the avant-garde film Ballet Mécanique.

Free Willy (except the MJ song at the end, which is crap). Jurassic Park is great too.

Off the top of my head, a Philip Glass score is always memorable.

Also Kubrick movies tend to stand out as excellent: Eyes Wide shut (Shostakovich waltz opening is great, as is all of the music, it really enhances the atmosphere)

Also,
Alien
Amadeus
Goodfellas
The Untouchables
all come to mind.

Once Upon A Time In The West
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon

Pirates of the Caribbean and Star Wars are a cut under the others, but were fun to play when I was in orchestra.

In addition to some already mentioned, Titanic had a pretty good soundtrack.

What was that bad movie with Emilio Estevez in an RV with his buddies lost in Detroit (maybe) over night with shenanigans ensuing all over the place?  Great soundtrack.

Absolutely. Ennio Morricone has done some truly memorable work. That harmonica, expanded, became The Untouchables theme. And those harmonica notes were the music for Capone's assassin. Good connection between the movies.

Oh! I think I remember that from high school. Dennis Leary is the villain?? Haha, he does some good scenery chewing. Don't remember the soundtrack, though. Been a while. If it's the movie I think it is, it's called Judgment Night. I think they're in Chicago, he takes a wrong turn or gets off at the wrong spot, and they end up in some territory they wished they'd avoided.

I haven't seen Stand by Me but I'm assuming I'd like the soundtrack since I love the song of the same name.

YES!  Judgment Night.  A forgettable movie.  The soundtrack was metal/grunge/rock groups teaming up with popular rap/hiphop artists of the day on each song.  It was way better than it should have been.

I've been enjoying the soundtrack for the Wolf Hall miniseries.
