I take the bus personally. The public transit system is pretty mediocre in my city, but a bus pass is about half the price of parking downtown, so I bus it.

Since I don't have a bike here, don't have enough money for a car, and live in a very rural area, foot is my only option.

I drive and I hate it so much especially on the way home. I get home upset and mad at traffic.

Between my dorm & on-campus work: walk. Otherwise, drive.

I walk downstairs, fire up my Keurig, and log on to my MacBook.

I drive. The public transportation doesn't go there on weekends or past 6, (so if I take it which I have when I have car trouble), I have to either grab a ride back or get a cab/Lyft/Uber to the light rail station. If I get a job in downtown Minneapolis as I want I'll probably bus/walk.

Either bus or on foot. I often run one of the two directions and take the bus for the other. I occasionally walk home (~2 mi.), but rarely into work.

Often by car. I drive and own a '97 Chevy Cavalier and live 25 minutes away from my college campus and 15 away from work.

For other things like getting a few groceries (we have a grocery store right up the street), or my best friend who lives only 5 blocks away, then that's when I'll either bike/walk as long as it's not raining, snowing etc., of course.

Car, given my other options are a bus that takes 5 times as long to get there, or a tram that I have to drive or ride a bus to get to anyway.

10 minute drive to work. Super duper easy.

With a drive so short, why don't you use the bus or a bike? Or skateboard?

Butting in here, because my commute is essentially the same.  I used to ride the bus for a while.  It would take an hour to travel the same distance that I could now drive in 15 minutes.  Plus, crazy people.  A bike is out of the question when it's 110 degrees and there are other cars on the road, which is always.  And a skateboard?  What are you, Californian or something?

Haha I've honestly seen businesspeople commuting on skateboards. What about a Segway?

In places outside California, it's unpleasant to be outside. It is about 5 miles to my job, which would probably take about half an hour to bike and I'd be sweaty and disgusting upon arrival. There is no bus service in my neighborhood because White People Don't Take The Bus.

It is theoretically possible to catch a bus directly from my suburb to work, but it goes through so many places in between that it can take up to an hour and a half.  With an 11 hour work day, this is not an option.  Rather I catch a train for a shorter part of the journey to get to a destination where I may more easily get a bus to work.
