I watched the one minute clip video. It kind of reminds me of an OC post.

I saw this on the Daily Show about a month ago.

The best part was the crowd nodding and trying to act like they aren't confused.

Her speeches are just random phases strewn together and at this point it almost sounded like a Turing test.

Reminded me of that actually:

Probably means that Palin is a space alien too.

She never rose, and her 15 minutes of fame were over right after she sold out what could have been a promising career in Republican politics in exchange to become another right-wing firebreathing circus clown along the lines of Rush Limbaugh/Sean Hannity/etc.

She was a prop from the outset, and besides "Drill, Baby, Drill", which was a self-serving pro-Alaska position that happened to coincide with a productive national agenda, she's never said anything worthwhile.

McCain tried to position himself as a maverick. An unrepentant obstructionist family woman seemed like a reasonable pick. Then she started speaking off-the-cuff.

The fall of Palin is really quite sad. I'm pretty sure that she had far more potential than most of the sad mugs and hacks that make up the 2016 GOP, but she was plucked from Alaska before she had a chance to grow.

Uh, no. Palin's problem wasn't a lack of experience. Palin's problem is that she's a chronically misinformed narcissist who is incapable of putting others' needs above her own in any arena. Another couple years governing the frozen tundra won't change that.

Yeah. The people of Alaska should erect a statue of John McCain for exposing the real her to them before any damage could be done.

After listening to that i'm honestly wondering if she's in need of seeing to. She needs to shore up the mental economy.

One of my favorite bits of Atlas trivia is that in 2007 Palin was probably the most highly regarded governor in the entire country on this forum. Even Democrats loved her!

She was the Republican who challenged the GOP elite of course Wink

I'd take a Palin over a Murkowski anyday.

Yeah, I would prefer Palin over an ultra-corrupt scumbag like Murkowski.

Anyway, it seems like the faultlines in the Alaska GOP are mostly establishment/pro-big oil vs. anti-establishment, and the latter is the camp that both the Tea Partiers and outside democrats are likely to prefer.

This. Palin is just dumber than a box of rocks, while Murkowski is a (insert swear word of your choice here)

it's because she represented the 'reformist' branch of the Alaska GOP vs. the Ted Stevens/Don Young branch.  at least in theory.

Palin is little more than someone who found a good gimmick to sell books from. A terrifying case of becoming your own slogan.

Sarah Palin is one of the brightest lights in the state and national GOP.

A similar thing was posted in another thread, but I accidentally deleted all the quotes I compiled.

Also: Which VP candidate could possibly flip you to McCain (not that the poll results mirror it):
Palin and Powell, but that wouldn't be something to swing me by itself.

The Opinion of Sarah Palin thread in early 2008 gave her an 83.3% FF rating which was still below her 89% approval rating.

Some were readying for her as a VP in 07 when Romney was a frontrunner, but when after Super Tuesday, speculation immediately took off. Even more prepped for Palin vs. Jindal Iowa Caucus showdown 2012.
