Hope little Marco gets in and loses either the primary or the fall election.

Murphy really isn't a shoe-in, Grayson could win.

And I could hit the lottery tomorrow. But it's not gonna happen.

The polls show most voters still undecided. I know it's fun to look at Clinton v. Sanders, but that's a totally different race.

It will be close but I would bet on a 51-48 Murphy win. Rubio is not the same guy as a couple years back, he is severely damaged goods at this point and facing a well-funded opponent.

Exactly. The only reason Grayson is "close" is because something like 50-60% of voters are undecided. But once the old reliable Democratic voters do their research and go out to this low turnout primary, there's no way in hell they will select a clown like Grayson.

A sizable portion of Republican voters will absolutely hate him, and Murphy has shown in his pretty Republican leaning district that he can attract a substantial amount of independents and Republicans.

No. And even if some do, most of them will vote for him anyway, and not Murphy (lol).

Allow me to know better here; Rubio is sitting at 51-37 approvals according to PPP and that is among Republicans. Nearly 40% of the Florida GOP voter base is against Rubio. A majority of them will hold their nose for Rubio, but it simply won't be enough. They aren't going to stay home either, since a sizable number of them overlap with Trump supporters and thus are going to vote. Lastly, Patrick Murphy is a gifted retail politician with a strong amount of crossover appeal and charisma. You underestimate him against Marco Rubio.

I could vote for Murphy or Invictus over Rubio. But Grayson? LOL.

Regardless of Rubio's electability in the whole state, wouldn't he be a godsend for Republicans up and down the ballot in Miami-Dade? That's a crucial portion of the state that the R's really can't afford to go 65%+ Dem.

Not really considering that the Cuban-American population there is a smaller percentage of the Miami electorate than he used to be. Their opinion of Rubio has also gone down recently.

If he loses, at least he actually lost and didn't just essentially give his seat away.

No? If he loses he's damaged goods forever. If he stayed out and Murphy won, he could blame Trump and the GOP Senate nominee and still run again.

Can't wait to see Little Marco get emasculated in his home state twice in one election year.

He could always blame his losing on Trump, and still run in 2018 for Governor or President in 2020.

I believe that the joy of seeing Little Marco lose is something that Hillary supporters, Bernie supporters, Trump supporters, and Cruz supporters can all love.

I guess I'll make the joke about there being no Rubio supporters.

These tweets just made the Rubio run market on PredictIt crash to even odds:

Marc Caputo ‏@MarcACaputo  46m46 minutes ago
I've tapped many deep & well-informed Rubio sources, some whom I've known for a 14 yrs. Rubio has not made his mind up

Marc Caputo ‏@MarcACaputo  46m46 minutes ago
There is the possibility that they're lying & that the people who don't know & who believe those who don't know are right. But I doubt it

Marc Caputo ‏@MarcACaputo  45m45 minutes ago
If Rubio had told people yesterday that he would run for reelection, it would've been announced by now

Marc Caputo ‏@MarcACaputo  44m44 minutes ago
With a few exceptions, those closest to Rubio who have his best interests at heart don't want him to run for reelection to the Senate.

Beruff challenges Rubio to pledge to serve a full 2nd Senate term, no governor 2018 or Prez 2020:

Does anyone know why Rocky De La Fuente randomly filed for the Democratic Senate primary here?

So, with Jolly out and possibility of Rubio not getting into the race, who is the frontrunner? Lopez-Cantera, DeSantis or Beruff?

DeSantis is the best funded, I believe. (someone check me on that)
