Amen! Amen. The DSCC should learn from the Debbie Wasserman Schultz. We want a primary, not a coronation.

I also assumed that you wanted to win. I guess not.

All Democratic Senators vote with the Democratic Party the great majority of the time, and the same is true with Republicans and their party. In Senate elections, you are voting for a vote for the Democratic or Republican agenda. Beet, there comes a time when you need to sacrifice your preferred ideology in a candidate for the sake of winning.

Freedom fighters

Patrick Murphy (FL-18) introduced a bill to the House that would stop seismic wave testing for oil, being co-sponsored by Gwen Graham (FL-2), Corrine Brown (FL-5), Bill Posey (FL-8), Alcee Hastings (FL-20), Lois Frankel (FL-22), and Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (FL-24).

But Beet told me that Murphy was a far-right winger!

New St. Pete Polls primary poll has Jolly at 22%, Miller at 12%, CLC at 11%, DeSantis at 9%.

Jolly good news!

I'm just surprised it took 14 pages for this to devolve into the inevitable discussion of Israel.

It's like an inverse of Godwin's Law.

Ugh why is Grayson beating Murphy in the polls?

Yeah, he's more liberal, but if Democrats want a Democrat to win then just VOTE FOR MURPHY.

Agh

The FDP doesn't understand and will never understand how to win. If Murphy is nominated and wins the general, it will be in spite of the incompetence of the FDP, not because of any actions they may take to help him in the GE.

How does what I said not make sense? Murphy is much more electable than Grayson in the General Election (as shown by polling), so if Democrats in general want someone from their party to win that Senate seat, it is much more strategic to elect him in the primary.

Florida Dems gonna Florida Dem. It's a futile task trying to find logic in their decisions.

Is Rubio going to use the Orlando shooting as an excuse to get back in?

My theory is that Jolly put out that rumor this morning to give himself an excuse to drop out. I don't think Jolly really knows anything.

If I were Rubio I would just lay low for a year or two and then ramp up the 2020 campaign. I don't think he's favored in a general election senate race, and losing would be the end of his political career.

These tweets just made the Rubio run market on PredictIt crash to even odds:

Marc Caputo ‏@MarcACaputo  46m46 minutes ago
I've tapped many deep & well-informed Rubio sources, some whom I've known for a 14 yrs. Rubio has not made his mind up

Marc Caputo ‏@MarcACaputo  46m46 minutes ago
There is the possibility that they're lying & that the people who don't know & who believe those who don't know are right. But I doubt it

Marc Caputo ‏@MarcACaputo  45m45 minutes ago
If Rubio had told people yesterday that he would run for reelection, it would've been announced by now

Marc Caputo ‏@MarcACaputo  44m44 minutes ago
With a few exceptions, those closest to Rubio who have his best interests at heart don't want him to run for reelection to the Senate.

Wulfric, a staunch anti-socialist has a question to ask you -- do you consider Collin Peterson (noted Bernie endorser, but generally considered to be one of the most right-wing remaining Democrats in the House) to be a socialist?

*Wulfric implodes*
