Well there goes the RSCC talking point of "muh none of our incumbents are retiring this year muh."

Good for him. I'd want to GTFO too, especially since he served when the Senate did stuff.

I don't think Indiana Democrats have another Joe Donnelly on them. It'll be interesting to see who they put up.

Todd Young and Marlin Stutzman are almost certainly in, Baron Hill might run for the democrats

Evan Bayh has 10 million in the bank and if he wants to get in the game then that's his chance.

Baron Hill is more likely to run for Governor.

Former U.S Representative and Coat's 2010 challenger Brad Ellsworth as well as South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg and former Evansville Mayor Jonathan Weinzapfel are the likeliest Democratic candidates.

Evan Bayh has previously said he's done with elected politics.

So far Stutzman for Pubs and McDermott for Dems are the only ones expressing interest.

Dems from the Region (NWI) tend not to be electable statewide, as Northwest Indiana is the most liberal part of the state and is in the Chicago media market.  McDermott would have an uphill climb......

Bayh would be strong, but he wasn't interested in being a Senator when his party had congressional majorities in the White House.

Democrats will have to consider whether they'd prefer running against Pence or a natonalized federal election, so this might not appeal to their best candidates.

I'm sure Republicans have a good bench. The party has to make sure they don't nominate a Mourdoch. Ideally, this would be a Republican version of the Michigan 2014 Senate race, where the party kept the seat with an inoffensive qualified candidate.

No, please NO! Will the GOP really blow a winnable Senate election in the state again? Why is this party so ignorant?

Why is Walorski so toxic?

I'd love to see John Gregg run, but it probably won't happen.
