I don't think Indiana Democrats have another Joe Donnelly on them. It'll be interesting to see who they put up.

Hoosiers, who are the likeliest candidates?

Isn't asking this a bit pointless if you're just going to spam the thread with who is/isn't running?

Except that's actually important information.

Seriously. If what RogueBeaver is posting is spam, then the whole forum is spam.

You seem stuck in 2010, talking about how everyone is going to get teabagged. In case you didn't notice, the Tea Party lost every single race in 2014.
*points to Sasse in NE, Brat in VA, Cotton in AR, Ernst in IA, and Lankford in OK.*

Cotton wasn't a tea-party candidate...

Nor was Sasse (guy thought Medicare Part D was a brilliant medical advancement and won praise from Howard Dean), nor was Lankford (there were two Tea Party candidates in that primary and he was not one of them), nor was Ernst (she was the ESTABLISHMENT CANDIDATE, the tea party candidate was Sam Clovis).

Wow, Wulfric, unimpressed. Your post gets an F. Please get a clue.

Ernst, Sasse, Lankford, Cotton were notable because they united the establishment and the Tea Party in the general election. I think that's where the perception of them being Tea Partiers comes from.

To be fair, I lump them in a lot of the time with the Tea Party because they vote mostly that way, but they definitely weren't propelled to victory in the same way a lot of the 2010 candidates were.

The Establishment and the Tea Party are always united in the general election though. Unless the Tea Party person says something out of turn to where the establishment sits out the election. Tea Partiers never sit out elections, they are always dragged kicking and screaming. That is an incredibly loose definition of Tea Party, to the point where pretty much every Republican politician elected qualifies (which you may believe).

Though I guess I'll give you that discussing the Tea Party is just semantics at this point since they are just a loud re-invention of the conservative wing of the Republican Party.

Yeah... Baron Hill is tidal wave insurance. He's as good a candidate as Indiana Democrats can realistically get, but he's not even as good as Donnelly.

Baron Hill faced Mike Sodrel in most of his elections to his seat. Sodrel was a dreadful candidate. As soon as Hill got a non-terrible candidate (Todd Young) he lost fairly easily. Hill won't win this election if it's a normal Hillary win, even against Stutzman.

Hill could definitely beat Stutzman in a normal year, even if he'd be the underdog.  He's a strong candidate and Stutzman is an absolutely terrible one.

We'll see. I think you all are overrating Hill's abilities.

Casey may run for gov; instead he feels Wolf is unpopular enough

Casey is NOT going to primary Wolf. Even you should be able to figure that out.

Not to mention that this line of discussion has NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS THREAD.
