Once Ayotte starts her campaign, she should do better, though the race is leaning Republican at best. If Hassan doesn't run, it will be likely Republican.

Gravis is a quasi-independent firm that's fairly well-known for being a GOP stooge. If Ayotte's only up by 2 in a shill poll, it's clearly a dead heat.

It's Gravis, guys. They tend not to be accurate. So Hassan is leading at this point.

Defend pragmatic Republican swing-state Senators at all costs.

Gravis can't poll.

But I repeat myself.

Apparently signing the Iran letter has really hurt Ayotte. The local media has been eviscerating her.

Ayotte is definitely vulnerable, especially if Hassan runs. Yes, Gravis can't poll, but this result doesn't seem too crazy.

Even then, Hassan just bought a new house close by her neck of the woods, so I'm fairly sure she's running for re-election. My gut says that the only way she runs for Senate is if the Democrats tap her husband to be education secretary.

Do Democrats have anyone else in New Hampshire that they could field in a credible challenge to Ayotte?

Kuster and Shea-Porter maybe, but I feel the latter is too entrenched in her never ending battle with Guinta

Democrats need Shea-Porter's seat back. Though you gotta hand it to the voters of New Hampshire: they really have no attachment to their incumbents.

Democrats have plenty of great candidates in NH-1 (and NH-2 if Kuster wants to run).

Chris Pappas in New Hampshire is pretty popular and could challenge Ayotte.  He'd obviously have it much harder than Hassan though.
