http://www.politico.com/story/2015/03/ted-cruz-rock-music-116353.html?hp=l2_4

In an interview with “CBS This Morning,” the Texas senator told his TV hosts that he “grew up listening to classic rock,” but that soon changed.

“My music taste changed on 9/11,” Cruz said.

“I actually intellectually find this very curious, but on 9/11, I didn’t like how rock music responded,” he said. “And country music, collectively, the way they responded, it resonated with me.”

I just like country music because of the way it sounds, I didn't need a terrorist attack to induce me.

Country Music actually got worse after 9/11 in my opinion. I know because I listened to country music from the age I could understand music to about 13. I certainly remember Alan Jackson after 9/11.

So his taste in music is dependent on political trends, not the music itself? Great, glad to know he's clueless about music. I needed another reason to dislike him.

Oh, Cruz. You should open yourself up to almost any kind of music like Romney does.

The greatest Country song of all time, Folsom Prison Blues, was decades before 9/11.

1.The U.S patriots, country musicians The Dixie Chicks certainly responded correctly following September 11.

2."Pancho and Lefty" by Townes Van Zandt is the greatest country song of all time (and the greatest song of all time, period). Folsom Prison Blues would be in the top five.

One has to wonder, in how many aspects of his life does he extend his pandering? Does he only eat conservative food? When he drives, does he refuse to make left turns? Is there anything he cant find a way to make polarizing and partisan?  I guess we will find out. It will be fun.

I'll have to give Rubio credit for admitting that he likes to listen to music that millions of Republicans would say is "not real music."

What a fraud. God the Republican clown show will fight each other by pandering to the lowest common denominator.

And yet, and yet... Ted Cruz's announcement speech was basically a right-wing funhouse mirror version of John Lennon's most famous song.

His attempts at being relateable are painful to watch.
