The Law as it stands now.

Initiative 42 "Amending the Hemp and Cannabis Initiative"

Initiative 22: "The Hemp and Cannabis Initiative" shall be amended as follows:

Section 7, clause (a) shall be modified to read:

Marijuana cigarettes sold in the Southeast region after June 1, 2005 shall be subject to an excise tax of 50 cents per cigarette.

Section 7, clause (b) shall be modified to read:

Packaged loose marijuana sold in the Southeast region after June 1, 2005 shall be subject to an excise tax of $25.00 per kilogram.

The following will be added to Section 3

(f) The Commission shall place the program fund defined in section 2(c) of the Excise Tax Administration Initiative at the disposal of the Adjutant General to pay for the activitities of the Southeast Millitia.

Subsection (e) of Section 3 of the Southeastern Hemp and Cannibis Initiative shall be replaced with:

(e) The Commission shall not establish an education fund as defined in section 2(b) of the Excise Tax Administration Initiative.
