http://nypost.com/2015/03/24/cornell-dean-says-isis-welcome-on-campus-in-undercover-video/

I know it's a junky source, but this is really sad.

I'm 99% sure the guy they were interviewing either didn't know what ISIS was or failed to make the connection to it, but still, this isn't one of Cornell's brightest moments.

EDIT:  The title cut off at "te"; it should read "teams."

Typical James O'Keefe clickbait trash.

He asks the guy if it would be okay to establish a club that focuses on humanitarian efforts in the Middle East. And he says yes (normal response)

Then he asks the guy if he it would be okay to establish a club that educates people on Islamic State and why the war is happening. And he says yes (normal response).

Then he asks the guy if he could bring in someone fighting for freedom in the Middle East as a guest speaker. And he says yes (normal response).

Then he packages the three answers together intercut with ISIS training montage videos and sends it to the NY Post.

What total garbage. Really feel sorry for this guy and hope Cornell will defend him.

The guy they interviewed is pretty clearly a moron, but it's obvious they twisted his words and took them out of context in a dishonest and reprehensible way.

Yeah, just goes to show that there's a big difference between administration and faculty at these places; I doubt any professors there would be that clueless.

The whole video is a fraud.  O'Keefe edited out the actual questions that were asked and then inserted his own voiceovers that had nothing to do with the questions:

http://www.newscorpse.com/ncWP/?p=26595

"The controversy enters with O’Keefe’s narration that inserts the words “ISIS” and “terrorist” in place of what was actually said. Then O’Keefe slanders Scaffido by concluding that he is pro-ISIS and that Cornell welcomes terrorists to its campus...The problem that is apparent is that Scaffido’s answers above were not in response to the actual questions asked."

Disgusting, O'Keefe is.

Didn't sound like "Freedom Fighter" was understood by the Dean as referring to ISIS, but as the people fighting them.  The only thing that was weird about what the Dean said when you consider the misleading questions was that he said there could be training sessions with the freedom fighters just like a sports team. No clue what he meant by that one.

O'Keefe is a disgusting, lying piece of human trash. How has he never been sued for libel or whatever?

Of course, almost every Republican will take the O'Keefe version and go on about "liberal traitorous academia.

Seriously. I don't know how people can complain about the Gotcha liberal media when James O'Keefe's whole career has been based on getting people to say things that sound bad out of context but are found to be harmless under even the slightest review, and conservative circles still treat him like a hero.

The only story here is that O'Keefe isn't in prison yet.

Because "free speech" are making your libel laws toothless.

If I were a lawyer I'd be calling this guy to discuss a lawsuit against O'Keefe right now.

...why would anyone do that? It's so easy to expose fraudulent interview techniques these days. Is O'Keefe a few sandwiches short of a full toolbox?

Because true believers refuse to believe that any of their fiercely held beliefs could possibly be debunked.  And anyone who claims that they have been debunked is a liar.  Re: the overwhelming majority of comments here ("Project Veritas is a godsend!"): http://therightscoop.com/james-okeefe-exposes-cornell-dean-who-thinks-starting-a-pro-isis-club-on-campus-is-a-ok/

One of the negatives about the internet age is that 20 years ago "reports" by people like O'Keefe would spend their existence on a VHS tape shown to nobody after being rejected by every news outlet.

Congress should have rejected his "reports", but yet Congress, including a majority of "Democrats" voted to destroy ACORN.
