No. You were never quite able to get curved streets like that in Simcity, at least not without the NAM, and even then the lots were still on an orthogonal grid.

It's the grass lawns that really push me over the edge.

You want a "traditional" lawn and garden and white picket fence existence with the sort of Continental climate fauna that soak up water like sponges? Fine. Don't live in the f#$%ing desert. Move to St. Louis or Cincinnati. There's a reason that stuff doesn't grow there naturally.

How many of them are actually homes, and how many are/were just being held by speculators looking to flip, and/or by the bank after things went underwater?  (Of course, you still gotta water those lawns even if nobody lives there.  Keep up appearances. I'm sure there's an HOA or something to ensure that.)
