BRTD is a great poster. He makes this place a lot more interesting, which is sorely needed these days.

I feel sorry for you if this is your idea of entertainment.

BRTD's life could, with minimal changes, be written as a dark satire on the life of a modern liberal.

How many modern liberals are Ingress-playing, hardcore show-going evangelical Christians though? And removing those aren't really "minimal changes".

You miss the point.

I think BRTD has developed a singular version of commodity fetishism, but that's not so strange among modern liberals. Each one of us is a potential freak, actually.

Why would anyone care what the political views of the musicians they listen to are? In addition to being a sign of painful insecurity, it's not like most musicians advertise their political views, anyway.

Furthermore, what difference does it make what some random musician or other artist/entertainer/non-political public figure thinks on whatever political issue? Most of them don't run for office, last I checked. And it's not like you really know them as people. You are a stranger to them, regardless of whether they are a household name.

Then again, in regard to Madeleine's point: Perhaps deliberately cultivating a confirmation bias is the "scene" thing to do these days.

Voted no.  I'm not sure what political views any of them hold, but I doubt they all subscribe to the same views as I.
