http://www.cnn.com/2015/03/26/entertainment/feat-downton-abbey-end-season-6/

Downton Abbey has been a staple for viewing audiences across the globe with its depictions of Aristocratic British life, All-Star cast (Maggie Smith, Shirley MacLaine, Samantha Bond, and Jim Carter are among the notables who have had at least a recurring role), and inspiring impressive feats in home and office design (Just ask Aaron Schock).

However, Executive Producer Gareth Neame formally announced the news that the sixth season (series for UK based individuals) would be their final one today, complete with a Twitter statement to fans thanking them for their loyalty to this point.

Downton Abbey's final season will begin in November.

I still watch it and enjoy it somewhat, but I think it has gone on too long already.  I was hoping they would do more with Paul Giamatti's character but they just had him for that one episode at the end of Season 4.

Great, another reason not to give Game of Thrones an Emmy it deserves.

It's my favorite current show, but it's time. There's nothing worse than a show like the Simpsons, that just keeps on producing junk years and years (seriously, so many years) after jumping the shark.
