ahah basically translates to-I don't want the GOP to take sh**t for being slow on climate change.

I hate when politicians accuse each other of politicizing issues

The fallacy of climate change is that the US Congress headed by good progressives can stop Climate Change with the right bills and legislation.

LOL, the GOP in the '80s heavily politicized it (e.g., Reagan and Bush 41). So, "Al Gore was right, but he politicized it!" Ugh, lol, etc. Initially, all Gore and others were doing was popularizing the research of a couple of professors.

As opposed to sitting by and singing kumbaya, praying, and dearly hoping the tax cuts will do it...of course. Trying to do something in some way to fight back by whatever means is clearly a fallacy.

This is baloney, Gore didn't politicize anything. Republicans politicized it when they refused to accept scientific fact.

Yeah, Gore just raised the issue. Republicans could have presented a Conservative/market based way of dealing with the problem instead of denying it.

Interestingly, the people who most responded to Gore's environmental crusade were Republicans (although they responded with negativity).

Living in a 5000sq ft house, flying a G5 and selling his TV channel to the UAE didnt help

You do realize Al Jazeera America is owned by Qatar, not the United Arab Emirates, correct?

1.) I have no idea what Gore's house has to do with any of this.
2.) The man isn't going to single-handedly end climate change by not flying in planes. He has to get around, and unless he intends to take up long distance swimming, then he has to fly.
3.) http://www.wsj.com/articles/al-gore-had-reservations-about-selling-current-tv-to-al-jazeera-court-papers-say-1408652509 Read that. If you dislike Gore, you won't believe it. If you like him, you'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

I don't think any of those three points you made indicate that Gore has politicized climate change.

So the premise is that if Gore didn't champion the case for climate change, the GOP would be totally on board? Seriously?

What has has to do with Climate Change is he has shown what hypocrites the elites are who want the rest of the 99% to pay more in taxes in the name of saving the climate

Kudos to him for saying this, though. Speaking of turning it into religion, it is part of the GOP creed that you can no longer be taken seriously in the party (cept Mark Kirk) if you accept the science behind it.

No, the Republicans who refused to accept climate change because it was publicized by a Democrat are the ones who "politicized" it.

The religion of climate change is entirely on the left. The skeptics are on the right.

In fact the climate argument is a reversal of religious arguments, where the left are the skeptics and the right the faithful.
