No. Coffee looks and smells disgusting, and I never wish to try it.

This is the worst thing you've ever posted.

I'll cut you some slack - I hated coffee until I started college.

Coffee is like beer - I understand not liking it because of the taste or whatever when you're twelve, but as an adult such opinions are shameful and wrong.

For once, I agree completely with TNF and oakvale.

(Voted yes of course.)

Antonio's efforts to be as bland as possible, with no vices whatsoever, are troubling.

What the hell is he hoping to accomplish? Transform into a cyborg?

Refusing to drink coffee is very childish, yes. That said, I don't drink coffee enough to have a dependency on it, because that's silly. Also people who are constantly complaining in the morning about how horrible they feel because they haven't had their coffee yet are the worst.

Does it count if it is mostly delivered in the form of tea? (yes) Because there's no doubt that I am absolutely dependent on that most wondrous of beverages. I have coffee less frequently though still quite often. It's good. They're both good. I feel bad for the Mormons, frankly.

Haha, it's okay old friend. Basically all my loved ones and people I've ever lived with are like that, so it is just my cross to bear in this life.

I, too, am annoyed by discussion of coffee drinking. Hate it, love it, can't live without it, just shut up and drink.

I disprove my national stereotypes in more than one way. Wink

Also, LOL at the idea that I have any objection toward sex and alcohol.

yeah, though it happened relatively late in life (age 19).  I drink maybe 25-30oz of black coffee every "morning" within an hour of waking up.

for those who like coffee but dislike the "jitters": L-theanine is a great, and relatively cheap, little anxiolytic that nearly eliminates the side effects of caffeine.

Yes (accountant in tax season)

My caffeine intake varies by the seasons. I'm up to a pot a day now. In summer, it will be more like a cup in the morning.

Definitely need to have my morning coffee, yes.  As it is relatively benign as far as psychoactives go (and yes I know some disagree) I don't worry about it too much.  I partake in a certain depressant recreationally once ever few months and THAT worries me more than drinking coffee everyday.

Yea,  coffee is great. I don't drink as much as I used to since quitting smoking but still average about 2 cups a day. Before it was about double that.

This whole idea that "of course I drink coffee, I'm an adult / male / full time worker" is funny. It's like some insidious advertising has successfully associated coffee with these qualities. Imagine it being said about other things.  The only true answer is in the poll, you have a caffeine dependence, and have justified it after the fact. That's cool, though. Caffeine is good sh**t.

I'm sort of a caffeine chipper, I suppose.

They can drink Coke though. My dad (who is not a Mormon, fyi) hates coffee and tea but is still addicted to caffeine from Coke.

No, I don't drink caffeine.  This is often the object of some surprise by people who know me, but then they take a second or two to think about it and realize that if they know me without caffeine it would probably be best if they never knew me with caffeine Grin

We don't need your pity, when it comes down to it, the insane resilience does enough for the usual things the rest of you losers need  that much caffeine for Wink

Also for myself specifically. I think this pretty apt...though I do enjoy caffeinated soft drinks once in a while.
