Convenient there was a thread about the other YouGov poll, but not this one...

http://d25d2506sfb94s.cloudfront.net/cumulus_uploads/document/onbotxemly/econToplines.pdf

Her favorability is now 49-43, up from 48-49 a couple weeks ago. Every other potential candidate on both sides is in the red, besides Carson who has a 27-26 rating. Meaning Hillary is the most popular 2016 candidate! Smiley

In other news, Democrats are sticking by Hillary despite the media's hit job.

I think you're in for a very uncomfortable presidential cycle.

Well Democrats would rally around Hillary, wouldn't they? Everyone smells a winner, don't they? wonder what the definition of winner is? Would love to see what the narrative of Hillary will be in, say eighteen months from now. As it becomes clear, she's an empty suit, with no long lasting accomplishments, except being Bill's spouse (suppose that could be considered an accomplishment of sort's...actually being married to Bill for as long as she has, is an accomplishment isn't it...guess that's how she learned all those nasty habits and tricks), being a U.S. Senator from a solidly Democratic state (That's another impressive accomplishment), being beaten by a guy whose surname rhymes with Osama, another empty suit, who can deliver....some humdinger speeches, another earth shattering accomplishment and serving ...oops, no pun intended...server!...four years as Secretary of State, third woman to hold the position....another impressive accomplishment...can anyone guess why she wiped her server clean? Wonder did it have anything to do with Tony Rodham's influence peddling and other shenanigans to do with those foreign money donations ending up in the Clinton foundation's coffers? or Benghazi? Yep Hillary is a winner, with all those impressive accomplishments. Well I think everyone knows, once a Clinton, always a Clinton. I'm very impressed.

Haha.

The Democratic primary electorate is getting inured to the media's attitude towards Hillary as Republican primary electorates have been to the media's attitudes towards their candidates for years. The more they're perceived to be too hard on her now, the less credibility any future negative coverage of her will have in the eyes of Democratic primary voters.

Which is a flaw of the Democratic Party. Republicans wouldn't sit idly by and let a character assassination of Laura Bush happen if she was running for President; and Laura is just as left of her base as Hillary is to the right of hers.

Well Beet, that's as long as they are just primary voters. But it will be a real accomplishment to win all those primaries, against whom? Primary voters, don't make up the whole electorate, they are a portion of the electorate, can anyone say Independent? Can anyone say Republican? Yep Beet, those kinda folks do exist out in the sticks beyond Democratic D.C. So unless Hillary can wipe away those voters, the way she wiped her server, then maybe she's gonna win, but I wouldn't bet Chappaqua on it!

Maybe we just aren't as obsessed with self destruction as the reactionary right in in this country.

Yes, it's unfortunate that there are some stubborns in the party who care more about their weird and increasingly creepy (if this forum is representative) hatred of Clinton than they do implementing progressive policies.

Yup, the media made a fatal miscalculation with this. They would've been much better off steadily chipping away at her for months, making it seem genuine and like their criticism was based in good faith and real jounalism. Instead, they aimed for the immediate knockout blow and missed. Now Democrats are in even more of a bunker mentality with Hillary, and any future hit jobs will be taken with a pillar of salt or ignored entirely.

I hope they keep it up, but will see how things pan out in a general election paradigm. Wouldn't bet her server on it.

Yeah, the GE is a different dilemma. Though it remains to be seen if they will side against Hillary if the nominee is anyone other than media darling Jeb.

The media fundamentally can't understand or deal with the Clintons.
